It is one thing to say RH0 (and by extension IPv4 source routing) is bad
for my network, and therefore my network will not support source routing.

It is quite another thing to say RH0 (and by extension IPv4 source
routing) is bad for my network, and therefore no one will be able to use
source routing.

What I am advocating is that each network be able to make their own
decisions about supporting source routing and not be at the mercy of
everyone that is upstream from them.

no-ip-source-routing = the option to turn off source routing for my
                        network and everyone down stream.

ignore-source-routing = the option to turn off source routing in my
                        network.

Deprecating RH0 = no IPv6 source routing. And will likely lead to
                        deprecating IPv4 source routing.

In the short term, lets make sure all vendors support
no-ip-source-routing, and in the long term add the flexibility to ignore
source routing.

And lets discuss if no-ip-source-routing should be the default action or
not. (personally I don't care either way as long as IPv4 and IPv6 are
consistent, and there is a fair amount of notification if current defaults
change).

I'm not suggesting that we hold up the draft until the
"ignore-source-routing" spec can be written. I do think if source routing
(IPv4 and IPv6) is depricated, then we will never get this flexibility.
