Thank you. You said what I was going to say. :-)

Please expand *all* the acronyms. What is a PON for example?

And to hammer the point home, the figure includes an entity called an
"RG". But the text never refers to this entity, whatever it is...

And what is a "CPE"? That is a *very* generic term for any device the
customer owns... Are these the laptops and other client devices?

Also, please be sure to state which enities have full IP stacks (and
addresses) and which do not, since that is part of the problem
motivation...

The intro also talks about VLANS and N:1, but I don't understand how
they are used. E.g., in the figure, is everything in one VLAN? Is each
AN in its own VLAN?

And be very clear about which devices are in *different* customer's
homes.

Finally, most homes nowadays have a router between hosts and
ISP. Which device in your picture plays that role?

Maybe it's just me, but I have yet to see a simple, one paragraph (or
less) explanation of what the N:1 VLAN model is. Please include such a
definition/explanation in the draft.

I look forward to seeing a revised document. Until I understand the
problem more clearly, I cannot say whether I support the WG taking on
this work.
