I have tested the latest revision in the 0.4 branch
and it is working great for me. It looks like the
latest firmware is still a requirement. All of the
older versions are still causing problems, even with
this new fix.

So I am hopeful this is the end of my audio troubles.
It would be great to see if it fixes all of the other
variations of tinny audio that people have reported.

Once again, the cx25840 firmware that has been working
for me is from here:
ftp://ftp.shspvr.com/download/wintv-pvr_150-500/prerelease/pvr_2.0.43.24073_prerelease.zip
Use HcwMakoC.ROM (renamed to v4l-cx25840.fw)
If you already have a version of HcwMakoC.ROM, make
sure it is 16382 bytes, or else it is an old one.
