I can't record at all. I can't even see live TV.
Seems like nobody knows why I get the warnings:
ivtv0 warning: i2c client addr: 0x44 not found for command 0x40085618!
(see my previous mail regarding "[ivtv-users] ivtv0 warning: i2c" for a
complete output)

I have similar problem: I can't record tv with my PVR 150 card using cron
because I got similar warnings.
Can you do scheduled recording or this is my private problem? B-/
