I would add a file listing (or package contents) telling me which file
is what (could be part of README).

Note: the file Jallib.bat still points to 2.4h.

I'll think about adding an eComStation(OS/2) package, possibly for the
nowadays standard installer (Warpin), which allows to install
sub-packages (compiler, libs, samples) selectively and each on a
different place if the user desires.
In case of combined compiler+libs package I would make separate packages
per platform. A Linux user is not interested in a Windows executable and
vice versa. So why downloading something which you don't need and don't
want?

Jallib-pack seems OK to me. I would add an indication about the jallib
version and the compiler version in the name of the package file, for
example: Jallib-pack-24i-0.1
I don't like that the directory structure of the current download
packages have a fixed base directory (\jallib-0.1beta). I prefer much
more the Firefox way, namely a release independent name, in our case
\Jallib, or even better no base directory at all and only a 'relative'
subdirectory structure. Advantage is much easier migration: rename the
old jallib and create a new Jallib. No makefiles, batchfiles or other
scripts to change with each new version.
Regards, Rob.
