You know, if it was Microsoft abandoning an API like this and leaving us all in the lurch we'd be up in arms and talking about 'the evil empire'. Somehow Sun gets away with behavior they/we condemm in MS.
Ok, rant mode off. We're using J3D in one of our companies products and will likely continue using the current release indefinitely. When we choose or are forced to do a lot more work on our product we'll look long and hard at the open source options out there. J3D has seemed complex to program to and only the active support of a user's group has made it _possible_ to use this API.
