Hi, Justin,

We are a medical software company that uses Java3D to develop an important
part of our product to visualize human blood vessel for stroke patients. We
started shipping our product this February. The 3D part really caught the
eyes of the medical staff.

Java 3D is a excellent product. We experienced some frustrations but we
generally liked it since our whole product is built on the Java Platform.
It's very sad to hear that Sun has terminated the project. We hope to see
the existing Java3D to be improved. From the choices you've given, here is
what I think, and probably the best way to keep Java3D alive.

- I'd like Java3D to be completely open sourced, but really I want
someone to be a steward of the codebase to make sure that there is a
central "reference" implementation to work with.

Thanks for taking this to Sun.

Hong
