Considering what's doable today with average browsers and JavaScript libraries, allow me to remain hopeful but skeptical in regard to this being any sort of catalyst for RIA's. Because while JavaFX, Flash and Silverlight evolves, so does HTML and browsers. People are no longer getting their hands dirty with raw unpredictable JavaScript but are using libraries like JQuery, Dojo, Prototype, ExtJS etc: http://extjs.com/deploy/dev/examples/samples.html
