Ernest:

I'd submit a vote against dropping 1.2 support for 6.  I suppose even 
Linux support is catching up, but there are still going to be a lot 
of older JVMs out there in browser land.  Forget about using Macs 
until later in the OS X distribution!  OK, if you can dictate that 
any user will have a 1.3 JVM, but tougher for people making tools for 
the gen public.  To be sure, I'm keeping my existing and archived 4.4 
etc. for use.
