    I uninstalled the software to install JFW 3.2, as suggested by HJ.  Now I must 
completely reinstall the package.  Is there a way to "suspend" McAfee while installing 
other software?

yes, it does, but make sure it isn't set to halt upon virus detection
and if you do installations of some software, you have to make sure it
is not running.
