Hi Jim,
It isn't really necessary to totally uninstall MCAfee to install JFW.  All
you have to do is first Disable all of VShield's modules.  The quickest way
to do this is to right click on the VShield's  Icon in the system tray and
select status.  After disabling the modules, right click on the icon again
and select exit.  At this point, VShield is no longer in memory.  It will
still load when you restart your computer but nun of the modules will be
running so it really isn't doing anything.

yes, it does, but make sure it isn't set to halt upon virus detection
and if you do installations of some software, you have to make sure it
is not running.
