david after reading your message i get the idea you think a person has to
decide
between great scripts for i e and end task, never did i suggest that.
my point about i e 4 is that while i personally like and use it and think it
is better, that one gains only about 15 to 30 percent extra access.
depending on how well it works on your system, in my system it did not work all
the way.
it also can speed up getting the info.
both things i like.
so if you think i was saying i did not want this you are wrong.
i want both scripts for ie 4 and end task access, and no both are very
reasonable request based on the fact the competition can do it.
by point about the browser still holds, though, if hj had not written any
scripts you could still get all that access through home page reader or web
speak.
also i was not saying that netscape or opera could do all that ie and the jfw
scripts could do, i was saying with all the other 4 tools i am pretty certain
that a user could access all the same sights even if hj had never maid those
scripts.
obviously that solution would not be as practical or as easy as hj solution.
still the person could get the job done.
so if their job depended on that info they could access it.
which by the way their is only one way to completely get rid of everything in
background.
their is no other option that allows the user to do this except end task.
their are options that allow a person to get rid of half of it.
which believe me i do.
by the way both win eyes and artic have super charged options for i e 5 and
also provide access to end task.
they never said we can do one or the other.
they do both.
by the way you are right about how great it would be to use end task to
reboot just a single window, and not have to reboot the whole system,
when a lock up occurs.
of course i did not even mention this because i found another way to do this.
with third party software.
though because it is free to sighted people that own win 9x i also think blind
people should not have to buy and learn third party software to do it.
so now we have to good reasons for makeing end task available.
i am only asking for what sighted people already have, access to the operating
system and not some specialized tool here.
if you want to believe hj is financially strapped and it is a matter of trade
offs more power to you, but a little simple math should say that hj has
grossed about 24 million plus.
and that guess is being conservative.
