I'm sorry if I gave you that impression. I did say that I want access
to end task and every thing in the OS. For example, I find it
irritating that there are check boxes in System Information that no
matter what I do, JFW won't tell me if they're checked or not. I even
wish we had access to the CMOS, but that's another subject. I know HJ
has money since JFW is probably the most popular screen reader. I was
merely trying to point out that if their developers were trying to
figure out what to work on first, that common applications are
certainly as important as making sure that every little part of the OS
is accessible. I think the misunderstanding occurred because you
consider end task not a little part but a significant part of Windows.
Fortunately, I've never had or heard of the installation problems that
you mentioned. That's why I didn't consider end task to be all that
critical, but perhaps it is.
When JFW 3.2 came out, WebSpeak might have been out, but HPR
definitely didn't exist. The problem is that even if they both were
available, it would have meant spending a substantial amount of money
for the JAWS user. When I bought JFW I bought the most expensive
screen reader on the market. The last thing I need is to have another
screen reader for the net or any other application. That's why I'm
writing to HJ on Gordon Kent's suggestion to solve this CakeWalk
problem.
