jeff i am not against upgradeing to outlook express 5.
in fact i encourage people to use the most powerful e mail program they can.
my point is that when one upgrades they should limit their upgrade to one app
at a time.
then test it, getting it tuned up, then install second app.
in fact i do not even use outlook express because of those lack of features.
i do understand microsofts reasoning on having 2 e mail programs.
you see i used to use eudora lite 1.54 because of its fast load time 6 months
back when i only had 100 mhz system.
by the way eudora 1.54 out performce outlook express 4 with more features and
ease of use.
except in multiple user configurations.
i never could understand how microsoft outlook express address book feature was
so screwed up that eudora 1.54 blew it away.
i point this out because this is one big giant time saver people use all the
time.

p s compairing outlook express 5 to outlook 98 is not really fair, seeing as
how outlook 2000 is about to be shipped at any time.
in addition i am trying to think what blind person does not need a calendar
program, plus its ability to share its adress book with win fax makes outlook
2000 the way to go.
just my opinion.
also offices will probley not use eudora or outlook express, no they want a
program that integrates with m s messenging.
outlook 98 does that.
outlook express does not
obvious the advantage here is outlook 2000 is it can be used at home and in
the office.
i am not recommending people buy eudora, because with microsoft giving away
its mediocre program it will be enough to put eudora under.
of course that also depends on who buys the eudora program.
qual comm is trying to sell it.
thanks for tip on outlook express 5, i shall take a look at it.
but if i find it does not have a cursor, a single keystroke to add a address to
address book , i will not look much farther.
