Hello.  Will need a little more information about your computer.  In 
general, JFW should read most things automatically when It's focused on 
it.  If the desktop icons are not being read, it may be an issue with your 
display settings.  For best results set the display color to "256" and the 
screen resolution to "600X800".  If you're using a fancy wall paper, choose 
something else a little more generic.
