Jmol v8 does the job, doesn't it? And that's still the stable release.
The functionality is not lost at all, and the Jmol Project will not drop 
support for viewing vibrations. Please don't let a beta discourage your Jmol 
enthousiasm; vibrations display *will* be ported to the new rendering core.
