Lama and Mike, My half cent. Lynch has always given me nettles. I remember trying to "get" his Twin Peaks TV show years ago and no matter how hard I tried to see whatever genius everyone was raving about - all I felt was stultifying boredom. Never purused him after thay until I heard about Mulholland Drive. I thought maybe it could work this time. Since I live near the belly of the beast Ithought I may finally find amusement with this film - maybe it would bring to life many of the quirky characters I see out at night about in Hollywood. A screenwriter friend who I think was anticipating the same saw it and warned me off it. I still haven't seen it but want to even though I sense I will be let down. Far better, and more ultimately amusing I think, Mike, to just come out and spend a couple weeks wandering about in the real deal ;-)
