Wanting to have children is not selfish... it's a selfless act, and requires a lot of work and commitment. I say that as the divorced father of a twelve year old. People don't become parents in order to be selfish.

Laurent, you're a good man, and it sounds like your daughter is lucky to have you for a dad. Don't worry too much about not having grandchildren ... plenty of lesbians very much desire to have children, and many of them do.
