another thought to illustrate the pre & post show emotional space of many performers...recently i attended a show in a small local club to see several of my friends performing, one who is a very well known & recognizable musician who is generally very accessible to folks whether he knows them or not...when he & his wife arrived (the show had started) they came over to say a quick hi & she was warm & he was uncharacteristically distant & reserved...i hadn't seen them for awhile so i was at first a bit suprised at this but sure enough when his set was over he came back over & sat down to chat it up like his normal self for the rest of the evening...
