Thanks for the tips, Joel.

When I first implemented SuperFish on this site, it was
my first use and I wasn't sure what bgiframe.js was for exactly,
so I included it just to be safe. (I just didn't take the time
to read...)

Now that I know what it's for, I realize I don't need it to overcome
IE6 form issues, so I just renamed the bgiframe.js file so all references
to the site would be disabled.

That actually solved all issues I was having. Now the bg images for the
dropdown links are transparent (semi-transparent, as the bg image only
fades down about 50% at the end) and the scroll bar at the end of the
bgiframe areas has disappeared.

So, all the issues were related to the use of the bgiframe.

I'll update my version of SuperFish to the latest on my next site that
I'm about to start work on and see what happens. I just don't want to
bother a good thing when I'm only 3 days from launch. (Hopefully...if the
client will stop changing her mind!) :o)
