But as I said, it's clearly an Icon widget, and that seems to have been the case and culprit. Let's continue here for a bit to see if we can narrow it down, and if we can (and there's something to fix) it might make sense to file it as a new bug to have it focused on the actual issue, without all the extra bits, we'll see. Can you try it with an Icon widget for a regular desktop file? (e.g. drag it from the Application Launcher to an empty space in the panel, away from the task manager, or to the desktop) I suspect that there's an issue with mapping the launch notification and your modified desktop file.
