And it is only of partial use, since many other programs would be running with 
the old libc. reboot (or something like 'shutdown -r +2') would be a much 
more comprehensive solution :-P. Except in the case of my x86_64 box where 
the stable release has the bootloader on MBR chainloading the cooker 
bootloader (and I currently run cooker by default) ...
