Still... "Slightly" thicker is not "much" thicker :) And I've already
noticed that the number of wraps measurement is not something that's
writ in stone, though it's a very solid guide allowing one to limit the
choices. The final result still needs to be tested the old-fashioned
way, by making a sample, because those variables (like the number of
plies) often change the way a piece works up, even if the number of
wraps is identical... Lacemaking is an inexact science, when all's said
and done :)
