Patrick,
For the last two LRP "upgrades" I have had to resort to using an older, but
workable 3c59x.o module. Originally I started out with EigerStein, then
went on to EigersteinBETA, and now I am using Dachstein CD V1.0.2 (forgive
me on not stating what version I was using on the previous Eiger's).

I have not been able to figure out what is wrong (or maybe my wrong's) with
the 3c59x.0 modules that were supplied with the last two LRP release's.

I just figured to try what worked before with the older 3com module and
everything seems to work.
If you would like I can send the 3c59x.o module to you that works for me and
let you give that a try.

Sorry I don't have any more specific information other than what worked for
me.

Good Luck,
Steve

Subject: [Leaf-user] Network Card Problem

Hello All,
I briefly mentioned a few weeks ago a problem I'm having with a
specific network card, however, no one had any solid advice and I wasn't
sure what the exact problem was so I'm reposting with a bit more
information I hope.

NIC: 3Com 3C920 Integrated network Card (lists as a 3c905C-TX in some
systems)

System: Dell Optiplex GX150

Problem: Despite a successful loading of the module 3c59x.o I am unable to
receive any data over the network interface. from netstat -i I can see
that it's transmitting, just not receiving properly.

I have RedHat 7.2 with Kernel 2.4.3-7 running on an identical system,
with a 'different' 3c59x.o module and that system is happyhappy.

Ideas/suggestions/whathaveyous?

--Pat
