I had it running (3.3) on ES2B before a very unfortunate hd crash
(too much current variation thank to our power utility company...).

There was a "trick" however... I had replaced the glibc 2.0 libraries
with glibc 2.1.3... I haven't yet "updated/migrated" my current Dachstein
installation to glibc 2.1.3 because I'm still experiencing some problems
(see my message concerning gzip/gunzip) with it but once this get's resolved
I'll switch back to 2.1.3...

I'm running it off a write-protected SCSI hd but this would also be possible
for DCD (Dachstein CD). The main problem I can see with migrating a Dachstein or
any other distribution to glibc 2.1.3 (or newer) would be that it would no
longer be able to make it fit on a diskette and that this would introduce
minimum glibc version requirements for lrp packages...

Have a nice day!

Nick
