>>The 'abysmal mess we're in' (We're not in a mess - he is!) is surely caused
by the mismanagement of the current regime, LUFC agreed to pay HMRC £500K a
month under the kransortium which for a club turning over £30M is hardly
earth shattering. Bates knew this over 2 years ago as the need to pay them
was the catalyst for his 'takeover'. For over 2 years he has made the
payments as required. Yet the alleged business genius that is Ken Bates
decided in April that he would stop making these payments as he had a more
pressing need for these funds. He will have fully understood the
consequences of this action, HMRC don't issue winding-up orders at the drop
of a hat and will have issued warnings and default notices. Ignoring these
'reminders' is IMHO gross financial mismanagement and you seem to suggest
that such mismanagement ought to be rewarded with debt free ownership of our
once great club.<<

It's hardly "gross financial mismanagement" compared to what went before, is
it.

Stop dwelling on what's happened and focus on taking us forwards.

Bates is trying, somewhat shadily, to clean up the books by dodging a £5m
tax bill. Good. When has the tax man done anyone any favours?

Unfortunately some small suppliers will lose some money. Tough. Collateral
damage I'm afraid. Why should it concern us? Our loyalty is to Leeds United.

>>Furthermore one has to laugh at the 'mysterious plans of LUST' jibe, I
assume from this comment that you are fully conversed in the plans of
Morris, Revie and/or Bates. If so please feel free to share them with the
list.<<

You're missing the point, Paul. All these plans are vague. I don't trust
Morris, and I'm not convinced Revie has the resources. LUST's chairman
participates in this list, yet I have no idea what their plans are. Someone
please
tell me! They might be fantastic!

I have an idea of what Bates is planning, based on him repeating the formula
used at Chelsea.

When Bates took over at Chelsea they were a struggling 2nd division team
with a shithole of a ground. When he left thay had a redeveloped stadium and
were in the champions' league.

I repeat: Isn't that what we want?

>> It seems a tad paradoxical that following being dismissed as amateurs
for not signing a non disclosure agreement that they had indeed signed they
are now being dismissed for not breaking the aforementioned NDA. <<

Not by me.

>>What do YOU know about the members of the LUST board that you can dismiss
them so easily as 'wastes of space'? <<

FFS, don't put words into my mouth. I didn't call anyone a waste of space. I
would like LUST to outline its plans for the club, that's all.

>>If Peter Wilkinson was to trek down the M62 to save us would you dismiss
him
in a similar fashion?<<

Another mythical figure. Is he in the car park with his cheque book too? ;-)

I'll take him seriously once he steps forward with a plan. Same goes for
Stubbs, LUST or anyone else.

>> He is after all a Leeds fan and thus by your
definition an amateur.<<

Which f*cking definitioin? Stop putting words in my mouth. I've not called
anyone an amateur.

Mark
