And LUFC agree with my assumptions and they are also in possession of the
facts.

Surprisingly though you didn't mention that did you?

Do you think HMRC have been playing this totally 'straight' Rick, or do you
think they may also be involved with some bluffing, game playing, bluster
etc etc?  Ditto the FL?

You seem to suggest that in these difficult business negotiations there is
only one party who is playing the game, and as if that is either unusual or
morally wrong?
