No it doesn't work. If you are adding a new person as spouse to a male then
the sex buttons are greyed out and it is already showing as a female (and
v.v).

If you start with a new unknown sex person the program seems to default so
that the person sits on the male side on family view. When adding a spouse
that person is again defaulted to female with the options greyed out - and
the original person has been changed from unknown sex to Male!

What happens if, rather than checking "M" or "F", you check "?" for the sex
of each partner? Not ideal, obviously, but does it work?
