No it doesn't work. If you are adding a new person as spouse to a male then the sex buttons are greyed out and it is already showing as a female (and v.v).
If you start with a new unknown sex person the program seems to default so that the person sits on the male side on family view. When adding a spouse that person is again defaulted to female with the options greyed out - and the original person has been changed from unknown sex to Male! Not ideal, obviously, but does it work?
