We've discussed this in the past and Legacy told us that they were not going to accommodate those of us who have a same-sex partner in the Legacy program. Let's all of us tell them that is important to us to have this in Legacy. If enough of us say we want and need it, they will try to add it as an alternate setting.

If you are adding a new person as spouse to a male then the sex buttons are greyed out and it is already showing as a female (and v.v). If you start with a new unknown sex person the program seems to default so that the person sits on the male side on family view. When adding a spouse that person is again defaulted to female with the options greyed out - and the original person has been changed from unknown sex to Male!
