This is missing the point - I have been using the full version for quite
some time (seems like years). Updating text is fine, apart from some awkward
overlaps from time to time, but introducing a new person will throw the
entire layout. Imagine adding your second cousins new daughter - where is
the space for this in an existing chart? TreeDraw will not 'update' for this
individual anyway since they do not yet exist in the tree - despite the link
to Legacy.

The full version of Tree Draw is linked to the file that Legacy uses. You
set this from the File menu. Under the Edit menu you can select to update
text.
Using the Legacy file means that pictures are available if they are required
in the chart.
