I've never bothered with this. Since the other windows programs I work with open the last folder used, I didn't expect Legacy to do anything else.

But now you point it out, since there is a setting for the default data folder, it shouldn't be changing this default and should always open on the default folder you've set in Options > Customise. If not, what's the point in setting it?
