I think it is less confusing to use the first marriage date, keep the full 
siblings on one group sheet and explain separation time 
(divorce-remarriage-whatever) in general notes in case sources or marriage 
events are lost in file transfers.

Multiple marriages to the same individual might be changed by file transfers 
to non-Legacy programs used for wall charts, web sites and sharing data with 
other researchers. Some genealogy programs do not report an accurate 
relationship difference for siblings with one common parent vs. two common 
parents. None of the genealogy programs (that I know about) keep the custom 
child-mother and child-father sources from Legacy 5 or 6. -- Elizabeth
