Directory is the old term for folder. There's no difference. Microsoft
changed it to make it more "user friendly" - the average person undersands
the concept of "folders" better than they do "directories".

Having been computing for quite some time, it took me awhile to get used to
the new term and I can usually tell who are old-time computer users when
they refer to the Legacy directory rather than Legacy folder!

Thanks for using Legacy.

I am not sure howe you create a "folder" that is not a directory. While I
believe they are not identical, in practice a "folder" IS a directory or a
subdirectory. So I would be interested in knowing how you create folders
that are not directories.
