Hi,

I'm interested in the 3ds file format and what we can get from it. Despite its
popularity, I'm very surprised of the lack of documentation about it on the
internet.

I figured that there is no official documentation. The only thing I found is a
document published in 1997 by Martin van Velsend and Robin Fercoq which mostly
describes the structure of the format.

I'm especially interested in understanding the animation feature of this file
format and I couldn't find any valuable information about it. I've seen that
lib3ds seems support this feature.

It is fully working ? Is there any documentation describing how it works or do
I need to dig into the code to find out ?

Any documentation or information about it will be much appreciated.

Jean-Charles
