The Shah was worse than a mere bastard...He was a brutal, murderous thug,
whose
actions finally lead to his overthrow, and the rise to power of the
religious
factions. How many people have to die in the service of the mercantilists,
before
people wake up to reality?

*** So he was. Agreed.

Oh and by the way, it's not "their" oil. They nationalized the very
industries we built at cents on the dollar. This violation of property
rights back then should have resulted in us bombing each-and-every refinery
to the ground and kept them razed until they restored all the property
rights.

Ah...That explains the problem, and the perspective. I see that this has all
been
a waste of time. Oh well, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Good day.

Well, that last paragraph I wasn't expecting. If it was the 1960's and your
oil refinery and multi-billion, multi-decade investment was arbitrarily
taken how would you have handled it? And had we handled it by razing them
to the ground, do you think we would be in the pickle we are in today? What
do you think finances this nonsense?
