That's a good start, Robbert. But I still get stuck when it asks me to
select a partition to install from. It seems to expect an ISO image and I've
only got files copied from the CD--not exactly an ISO image.

I've got an L50. I've put my entire RH 7.1 CD in D:\RH\  (a FAT16 par on my
internal drive). I haven't been successful getting it pointed to the files
on the drive. I've watched case-sensitivity and am pretty sure that's not
it. What do I point it to the the example given above?

BTW, this second par is recognized as /dev/hda5.
