Eeek, I am imagining Gates and Dell and some
cheesy electronic music in a dark red hotel room.

So, then are you wealthy (or not)? Is that 'cos you are:
a) smart
b) not smart
c) lucky
d) in entertainment
?
There is always luck, but sometimes it is beyond just "luck", else
why are we not all rich? Being "street smart" or "market smart" is
a different type of smart, but it is still smart. Besides, you
can also rate Gates as a competent programmer as well, so in this
case he would meet both of your criteria, yes?
If Einstein put his mind to making money I'm sure he'd think
up some things.

THERE IS NO POINT IN TECH INNOVATION IF NOBODY USES IT.
Even if the company "steals" this innovation.
Think about it.

Gates had the skill to realise that he doesn't have the skill, hence

First of all let me say hello to everyone.
I know that this is an unusual request but I need
help from all Linux OS users. Weather you have
used Linux OS (any variety) one or many times
your opinion is welcome. Please help me in my
master's degree by filling out my 12 item
questionnaire at
http://www.gonzalo.net/satisfaction.htm
My aim is to measure user satisfaction in the use
of Linus OS in the 5 variables of interest. Your
help is critical to the completion of my degree.
Assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Doh!,
You forgot to add unused references, structures, bitmaps and
other unused resources to your vc++ project build settings.
Also you need include random invalid page faults and make sure

Hello to all fellow Linux users! I know that this is an unusual request
but I cam currently measuring user satisfaction in the use of Linux
OS in five variables of
interest namely ease of use, timeliness, format, content and accuracy.
Please use this link and fill a 12 point item questionnaire to aid me

this endeavor. It is really short and easy.

Read this and then let's see who's the one who doesn't know
what he's talking about.
In case you have some difficulty in reading (as it seems to
be the case), I draw your attention to the following
paragraphs:
<quote>
For instance, out of 350 reported defacements in April 2000,
64 percent were on Windows NT (which averages about 60
percent in other months).
If you lump all Linux distributions together, they come in
second (with an average rate of 17 percent), followed by
Solaris (at 10 percent per month). Another interesting fact
from Attrition is that statistically, most defacements
happen on Sunday.
You might think NT sites get defaced most often because NT
has become the predominant Web server platform. However,
that's not true. A Web site survey by Netcraft
(http://www.netcraft.com/survey/) shows that Apache Web
servers outnumber all Microsoft-based solutions by almost
three to one. In other words, even though NT Web servers are
not the most popular, they are defaced much more frequently.
</quote>

Try "startx -- :1" and magic happens :-).. now replace the 1 with a 2 and
try again... more magic. You can also play around with the "xinit" command
and have gnome, kde, windowmaker etc. running at the same time as the same
user.. Lets have windows do that ;-)

explain YOUR comments:
- New Zealand has electricity?
- Listen, living all the way down at the bottom of the world as you do, where
dark and terrible things happen to chicken heads and the sheep tremble when
wellies are worn, you cannot in all of the heavens honestly dare to comment
on our north western 'magic' can you?
- Also, are you some sort of Borg collective?
actually address the original post, either stating whether you agree or
disagree, and if so, why? Show some maturity sonny.
