Hi Erik.

I set the local IP in the diald.conf file. How would I permanently set
it? Wouldn't this local IP be assign the tap0 when the link is down?

There appears to be no rhyme or reason to my problem (though there will be
a solution no doubt)

Symptoms are approx every one in three - five dialouts when the link comes
up ie ppp is established, everything goes dead for 20 30 secs with various
dns requests going out, but nothing comes back in. Then off it goes. Four
times out of five it works fine ... ppp comes up, DNS goes out .... data
comes back!

Any thoughs!?

Regards

Steve C
