Uh, wow. A classic hurrying obedience :-) Are you a lawyer that you can place such a definitive statement? IMHO this is totaly unprecedented till now. So, I suggest, it is not illegal and not unethical to write a program that simulates a cam if you are not using any knowhow you got by reengeneering. Possibly the use of it might be illegal in some circumstances. I give an example: A cleaningmashine is not illegal although a murder could clean his bloody trousers with it and although he constructed the mashine himself. I am absolutely shure, that PW would never take legal action if one would subscribe to a PW abonement and uses it with a softcam. Without a suitor theres no suit. And there is absolutely nothing unethical, because PW got not damaged (btw. they will fail by other reasons) . In fact, someone could use it with a pirate card or with a pirate software.
