Well, across filesystems, a mv doesn't work the same. A copy is made and then
the source is removed. That also depends on the version of mv you're using.
Older 'mv's didn't let you move across filesystems. Then again we need a
mini-distribution that supports reiserfs and a new version of mv. I don't
know if file permissions and ownership is maintained by mv.
