This doesn't seem to good. You don't get the CD (carrier detect) signal
which is probably why your applications are complaining.
I'll try to fix this "bug", but I think I need to find a person with this
phone (Nokia 8810), so I can debug it myself. My Nokia NM-207 is responding
the same way here in Norway, but that is because it's not a GSM phone, so
it makes sense to say "NO CARRIER" ;-) But it worked just fine when I tried
it in Tokyo, and I had no problems at all.
