Hardware: sony vaio737, HP LaserJet 6P

Software: linux-2.2.12 + patch-2.2.12-irda1 + irda-utils-0.92

applying patch, compiling: perfect

SIR : works, so far no crashes

FIR : smc-ircc doesn't work, but hasn't worked before either on the 737

discovery : works

printing : used to work at least for short files in  2.2.9, 2.2.10, now there is a new 
problem:

cat "file" > /dev/irlpt0

does not seem to send the content of "file" to the printer, but rather something

with additional carriage returns: Text files don't have the typical steps

between lines when sent to the printer without filter. Pictures get messed up.
