As I said, this weekend I'll definitely spend the needed time to
update my libkarma setting and try to reproduce all the recently
reported troubles.  I'll let you know if I find something.

Yea, it's mine ;)  I devised it 8 years ago as I started to
get sick of the so many cables growing fast around my computer.

Glad it was good for you ;)  I've been using it exactly until
last month, when I definitely switched my venerable PIII-450Mhz
computer off and started using a VIA EPIA silent box instead.
Unfortunately, the EPIA doesn't provide standard voltages on its
serial port :( I'm now thinking what to do about that, as I do
need a lirc transmitter to control my home HI-FI set, which has
become so complex that it is impossible to manage without a
computer dispensing the required IR commands here and there...
