thanks for your response. i too suspect i will not find a mapi client
for linux. we actually do use both the smtp and pop features of
our exchange server, however i find exchange very limiting
and would love to get rif of it. of course that would still leave me
with the problem of replacing the exchange calendar functionality,
which is the only other feature of exchange that we actually we use.
regarding outlook's ability to speak smtp, i believe this is only done
through the mapi protocol, thus my query regarding mapi software
for linux....
