MAPI is a protocol to enable applications to send email portably on one
machine. Outlook and Eudora are MAPI *SERVERS*. Clients are other applications
which don't know how to send mail directly.

MS Exchange Server/Client and Outlook use a proprietary Microsoft protocol
whose specification has not been released, afaik. If you want to use the nice
"features" of MS Exchange, you're out of luck, I'm afraid.

If you just want to send mail, MS Exchange Server has POP3 and SMTP
compatability modules which you can use.
