I am having difficulty getting X-Windows installed. I just installed
Slakware 4.0 on my new 8 gig HD, and I can get the gray screen with the
X in the middle to come up and then it crashes with the most obvious
message being "cannot load libqt.so.1". This is repeated numerous
times, and I have no idea where to look for it. I did try whereis, and
find, to no avail. I also went to /usr/lib to see if it would be
there. I did the install from a CD, and had to try numerous times until
it finally worked. My intentions were to say yes to all "recommended"
files, and look at the optional ones. I used verbose newbie mode. Any
suggestion or help would be appreciated. Thanks, Jay Hays
