I don't think you need to have enabled networking during install to use netcfg.
It should still allow you to use ppp.
Sorry that I didn't help you very much with the chat scripts, Herman; frankly I
ignore all that redhat stuff and set my own ppp scripts up by hand, using the
examples in 'man ppp' and 'man chat'.
Did you get you mail working?
