I just dont plan to use devfs 8) devfs lacks the infrastructure to do this. usbdevfs was specifically invented because I needed a revoke facility. Neither devfs, procfs nor VFS provides that capability, and there was disinterest to add this to procfs (at a time where devfs wasn't in the kernel).
