I have been having a couple of problems with an Epson 740 when the print
file size exceeds about 10MB.
I am printing multiple copies of a single page from a Windows 98 client
through the Linux server (kernel 2.4.0-test1-ac9) using the USB connection.
1. The print goes fine for about 14 pages and then suddenly stops
mid-page and lpq shows empty. I have got round this by only printing 10
pages at a time and allowing the printer to have a few seconds of recovery
between each batch.
2. When I switch on the printer it picks a usb dev at random (either
lp0 or lp1). This is a bit frustrating as I have to re-point lp on the
server each time.
Just my 2 cents worth.
