As modules. The printer module wasn't loaded at boot time though. It dumps
the stuff telling you about the unrecognised device. I then load the
module and get messages like (this isn't one though);

printer.c: usblp_control_msg: rq: 0x01 dir: 1 recip: 1 value: 0 len: 0x1
result: 1

But the printer does nothing. If I then cycle power on the printer the
same messages appear but I can print. (cat /etc/fstab >/dev/usb/usblp0 is
that I do to make sure lpd isn't screwed up).

I'm not that bothered, as it does work. I'll retry again with the printer
module getting loaded at the same time as usb-uhci and usbcore.
